Gary Williams (as Jon Bon Jovi)
Gary Williams was brought up in the Liverpool area, where the people are well known for their wit and passion for football. The city is also famous for its music and is the birthplace of the Mersey Sound. Gary loved the lively music scene in Liverpool and it was this that influenced him when he decided to go to a Liverpool music school and take lessons.
Gary began playing drums and although he enjoyed that, he soon realised he was more interested in singing. Gary then switched to vocal tuition, which gave him more confidence to sing live. He then became interested in learning the guitar and started to perform at various acoustic open mic nights before moving on to doing regular gigs in and around Liverpool, which was a great experience for him.
Having been a Bon Jovi fan for many years, Gary has seen the band perform live nine times from the Have A Nice Day tour onwards. Naturally, when he began singing, one of his main vocal influences was Jon Bon Jovi.
With a few Bon Jovi songs making up his set lists, Gary was told several times by various people along the way that he should do a Bon Jovi tribute act and he is now fortunate to be joining the tribute band Bon Giovi and is very excited at the opportunity that this has given him to live his dream!
